White Knight Chronicles for PS3
Welcome to the White Knight Chronicles Translation blog. This blog was created for English only speakers who cannot understand Japanese and wish to import this game to experience it and possibly play online with friends.
For those that don't know. White Knight Chronicles is the first HD RPG to grace the PS3. This game was released in Japan on the 25th of December 2008 and the US/UK release date is still unknown at the time of posting this.
This blog will be updated throughout the coming weeks. As there is a lot to translate, however the story itself will not be translated as this would lead to a lot of spoilers and we don't want that now do we.
Here is a list of what will be translated (images will be included for visual assistance).
- Tutorials
- Menus
- Stats
- Items (included equipment)
- Skills
- Blacksmith (item & equipment creation)
- G Rank Missions
- Geo Net
- Trophy List
- Monster List
and possibly more...
So check back regularly and if there is something you need translated then leave a note.
Very good!
ReplyDeleteThank you! ^^
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! This is just what I need ^_^ .
ReplyDeleteAwesome... looking forward to future updates =D
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!!! this is so awesome, cant wait for the update.
ReplyDeleteCurious, could you have a page posted up where all commentators can post their online ID for people to add to friends list for WKC?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good idea Velocity. Ill make a post for people who wish to add their PSN IDs to play online together.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, keep up the awesome work!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for doing this. I pre-ordered the game and figured that I'd just muddle my way through it, but now I won't have so many problems.
You are the best !
I love the job you guys have done so far, but can you maybe explain how to make new items or the menus you go through to get them made?? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes the item creation will be explained. It is not in the menu system. You need to go to the shop with the blacksmith icon (opens up after you have passed through ragnish desert).
ReplyDeletehey white night here a good sit for all your Translation,
ReplyDeletehttp://wns.gkwiki2.com/
Thanks guys for a great information blog. I appreciate it. I just received my copy of the game yesterday and I don't speak/read Japanese so how do I get online? Your assistance would be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteCan you move the pictures from the crystal camera off the PS3?
ReplyDeleteAbout the pictures. No you cannot move them to the PS3 unfortunately. Level-5 should implement that feature. At the moment the photos are just used for your Avatar on the Geo Net Blog.
ReplyDeleteAlso apologies for the lack of updates these few days. I have been busy moving and waiting for the internet company to connect me to the internet in my new house. Updates will be coming shortly. Thanks for your patience. ^^
Do the Characters and City names have a translation? Would be nice to have a name to relate people and places too.
ReplyDeleteHey Oniichan, which town can you reincarnate in ? and who do ya speak with to do so ?
ReplyDeleteIf you go to the world map or town logic stones your dead character will be restored to full health.
ReplyDeleteno no Oniichan, I am speaking of Reincarnation, not Ressurection. Where do ya go to Reincarnation your character when you reach your level 50 and wish to restart at level 35. Where do you go, and who do you speak with.
ReplyDeleteoh haha whoops sorry. To do that you need to reach level 50. Then go to Shinka village (Wasteland area) and speak to the guy in the black robe next to the camp fire. You have to have cleared the game first in order to unlock it.
ReplyDeleteDoes doing so reset your skill points? Is there anyway to remove skill points?
ReplyDeleteYes your skill points get reset when you reincarnate.
ReplyDeleteI just got the game and would like to thank you for providing this guide. I love the game so far, but feel I'm missing out when I don't understand the mechanics of the game.
ReplyDeleteDont worry after playing it more you will start to understand the mechanics behind it. Once you finish the story mode and get online the game will open up. Most of us play online now and love it. Some have even invested 300hours+ in just online mode, its addictive trying to get that piece of equipment you want. ^^
ReplyDeleteSo i ahve been waiting for this game to come out for about two years now. I have two questions
ReplyDelete1) Do i need any adopters to play a non English game on my PS3
2)I am thinking about buying it on Ebay. Is there a cheapier/easier way to get the game
Here is the answer to your 2 questions.
ReplyDelete1) You do not need any adopters. PS3 is region free when it comes to games. Movies however are not. So you import games from any country and play it on your PS3.
2) Not sure how much you can find it on Ebay. I tend to get most of my games from Play-Asia. There is a link on the side bar of this site that goes directly to Play-Asia. They are quick and have great shipping rates (sometimes free shipping).
Thanks and i will be using your site alot when i get it. I got a Jap Verizon of a DBZ game back in the day for PS2 and i needed a chip to play the game. Just wanted to make sure. I will also buy it from plas-asia since you think highly of it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI Like the information you have for white knight. This is really getting me into the game and cant wait to get it. Keep up the good work and thanks.
ReplyDeleteEvery time you reincarnate; you get an additional 40 skill points correct?
ReplyDeleteCan you keep reincarnating to cap every skill list(to get the platinum trophy) or is there only a certain amount of times you can do so?
Yes every time you rebirth/reincarnate you get 40 additional skill points by the time you hit level 50 again. You rebirth/reincarnate as many times as you like HOWEVER you can only rebirth/reincarnate a total of 4 times to get additional skill points. After the 4th rebirth you no longer get additional 40 Skill points.
ReplyDeleteSo to get that platinum trophy you need to max a different skill tree each time you rebirth. The game keeps record of which skill tress you have mastered. So once mastered you can rebirth and leave that tree empty and master another tree and it will register as completing all skill trees.
